Today i did only a bit grey glaze varnish over the body and the tail to bring the different colors together.  You can see the different to the metall wings, i hope it will give a good effect later ...

This day started with a very poor test rig to check the size and level of the coming diorama .

After three layers of the special color mixture i can start to select the decals

Color will need some time for drying, because the use of a retarder ( Vallejo Glaze is added to the washings ) .  The technique of the painting is a bit, äähhh , different. Maybe i can apply some dry paint and fx this day.   

I use ultra mat PU  Varnish for the washings, but it went out as a nice smooth satin finish and i think i can use it direct for the decals without a extra glossy clear coat. There are still five layers of color on the ship right now !
