"Cordoba" space battleship by Hasegawa from "Crusher Joe" anime was just finished. I was impressed by quality of the Minerva model from the same anime and bought Cordoba as soos as it was available in stores. It turned out to be not so good decision. Large box contains a model that would fit into half of it size. The ship is 1:3000, about 30 cm long and has loads of surface detail, but should be at least 60 cm long for the right impression. Any internal lighting in this scale requires fiber optics use, a microelectronics degree, monkey dexterity and tons of patience. I just put it together. Decals weren't reacting for Microscale SOL. The worst ones were those imitating windows on escort ships. Probably I will paint them - like I did with 60% markings on this model.
I only recommend it for those, who need it in collection. Those who just like it's shape should look for a digital 3D model and print it in 1:1500 scale. This will do it's justice.
I painted the model with three shades of gray and applied AMMO Blue Dirt panelliner. I painted details in other colors with AK-Interactive 3GEN paints.

And now a helicopter for detox :)

Well, for what sounds like a dog of a kit, you certainly trained it to sit up & beg! Excellent build!

A helicopter for detox??

I do like the finish you've achieved with this build ..600 mm long would definitely been a better size for a ship like this .
300mm makes this even better  ;D
If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

:o  I'm a wee bit surprised with your assessment of this kit - I built it a while ago and found it to be easy as, no issues as all. The only other kit (Takara) was even smaller and rarer than rocking horse pooh. Yeah, the Hasegawa box could've been smaller, I agree, but it's a good size to keep all the bits and bobs left over from other kits for scratch building purposes
Regardless of all that, yours came out nicely! Great work

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Cool. The Minerva for size reference is nice, too.
