It seems that even a movie and a TV-series have been done from it. Maybe I could get some inspiration, even if the story looks too absurd (farfelou) to me.

Well the TV series does have Sean Bean in it... so there is that. I found it quite a reasonable watch.
Plus this is a great idea.. Polar could extend to a full earth Post Whatever Catastrophy

Hi,
Would a Ford Trimotor done up as being from the mythical Miskatonic Antarctic Expedition of 1930 be suitably what-if for this groupbuild?

Ground features in many slightly Northern locations were formed by the latest Ice Age. It ended 11 or 12 thousand years ago. Scientists think that the next Glacial Period should arrive in 50,000 or 100,000 years.

If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

With the way this planet is heating up its very likely there won't another ice age ..the ice caps are melting after all.

Apparently, the current warming up might delay the ice age to 100,000 years, instead of 50,000.

That wouldn't surprise me one bit ...here in nz we've gotten temps we've never had before ..also the temps are up and down like a yoyo ...winter here is going to dissappear at some point...it's getting warmer every year .

My knowledge of New Zealand's weather mainly comes from watching Brokenwood, and from what I can tell it rains a lot
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

You could use the old mining railroad in Ny Ålesund, Svaldbard, as your inspiration.

Owing to the current financial difficulties, the light at the end of the tunnel will be turned off until further notice.

😁😁😁
If this summer is like 3yrs ago and it's looking like it then the south island is going to get hammered ...which is what's happening now and the north island won't get any real rain at all ..we are already getting temps of 28C and summer hasn't even really started .
I have a feeling summer this yr is going to suck on a massive scale  :banghead:
I hate summer 😐
