If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

Shaped like bombs.  Sorry.  Sky blue plastic.  Either Airfix Firefly or Revell Condor.

Aw, that's a shame - just carrying the joke a bit far, maybe?  ;)

You could always call them cluster munitions, then you'd both be happy.

Anti-aircraft cluster bombs! Makes perfect sense! Less accuracy required & more (if smaller) hits on the target!

Oh I already knew it would be a cluster sort of bomb but the idea is very cool but man it'd be a mission to make em work properly..imagine a crap load of bombers..all flying along and some figther trying to get in the perfect position to drop a stick of cluster bombs onto it .
They'd have to be dropped at a distance where the figther can't be seen cause the moment it's in range some dorsal turret gunner will let rip and then so will every one else  ;)
I'll bet some where ,sometime someone has thought of this very idea ...and then figured out how damn hard it be to make it work 😆

Fairly sure someone did, including parachute "mines", or proposed them, but can't find any reference to them anywhere.

In WWI the RAF dropped bombs on Zeppelins, when they could get up that high mind you.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Not cluster bombs (although they do make more sense and I did realise that thisarvo before I read Ricks post - honest).
Remember this is from an Anime.  The enemy flying machines the Korsaari would be attacking would be of immense size and as such suitable to be bombed by dive bombing, from level flight (The Last Jedi), or by flying through the hanger deck, bombing, and flying out the other side (Last Exile).

I gave up on the sky blue bombs and found some better moulded grey ones in my weapons box.  Clear is drying.
They'll be loaded tomorrow and this will be finished.

The reason for the early window underneath. The depiction of the bombsize though.

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

I think the Luftwaffle tried it as well.  I just don't remember where I read it.

I was going to say that I seem to recall that, too.
Another of the things they tried, probably before they went with the rocket idea.

Aeroplane magazine, January 2025, has a few pages on Aerial Mines (in addition to a big piece on TSR2). Clearly, you needed lots of them to have a chance to hit an enemy aircraft.
