That is a strange contraption  ;D

Those northerners, and even current Ostrobothnians and Laplanders were always a proud and resourceful lot - and ready to fight for what they thought was Right.

 Best looking Corsair anywhere 😍 👌 😋
Lovely build matey 😀
If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

Thanks folks.
This one turned out pretty much like it looked in my head.
Supports for the outrigger skis were much more delicate in my imagination but that's the difference between art and engineering - if they were to remain intact they had to be more robust (and even then I busted them a heap of times).

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

You can almost forget it's a Corsair. Great work!

Makes me think of a short fat plume moth from this angle.

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Very nice, esp. the lattice work.  ;D

That's excellent work, Fred... That landing gear took some thought for sure... and the paint job...

Really works, so well done all around.

That will baffle some of the Ballarat crowd

Further to the discussion on Anti Aircraft Bombs;

I have been listening to podcasts from 2023 by James Holland and Al Murray (We Have Ways of Making You Talk).  In some of them they are reading from the diaries of a Luftwaffe pilot defending U Boat pens (Kiel?) in 1943.  In the first extract he talks of dropping a bomb from his Me 109 and hitting and destroying a B-17 in a formation below.  He gets a call from Fatty congratulating him on this and in later extracts talks of him and his comrades trying to use this tactic with limited success.  He mentions that the USAAF formations would start to zig zag when the 109s appeared above in an attempt to throw their aim off.  They seem to have some success bombing the Forts but it is limited.

That must be Heinz Knoke. Their peak success will be 3xB-17 with one bomb but escort fighters are on the way. These 4 are the only claims l know of.

What happened when the bomb missed and landed on the facility below? Or some town?

Not much different to the B-17s dropping their bombs anyway I'd have thought.

Does an explosion have a 'nationality'?
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Only when it hasn't become an explosion

Bullets don't have eyes, that's true. I was just wondering about adding more to the mix.
