If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .

Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

Still looks very Brewster-ish, although now with some Polikarpov thrown in for good measure.

So a Corsairski?  In more ways than one...

Prop will be replaced.  Probably with one from a Battle (surprisingly of a larger diameter) with a spinner bodged onto it.
The one in the pic is the Corsair one wedged on for the pics.

Quote from: PR19_Kit on December 04, 2024, 05:28:54 AMThat mono-ski looks VERY impressive!

Will it have little tip-skis as well?

I am knocking up two stabilising skis.  They will probably be mounted from the fuselage rather than the wingtips.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Looking good.

Will you be filling the shell ejector ports?

I wondered when someone would ask that.
No.  I figure that as shell casings are ejected rather than just falling out of the gun then they can come out of the top of the wing.
Back story will reflect this.

I have begun work on the support skis.  Triangular support frames of unknown origin from a parts box.  Upper braces will run to the fuselage.

Gives the maintenance crew something to do, panel-beating out the dents & fixing the holes made as spent casings bounce down the wings & smack into the ailerons. ;D  ;)

'Tis looking bloody good, though!

They are ejected high enough to clear the ailerons.
They hit the tail.

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

I did wonder if it might be something like that.

As the oft-mentioned Maxim says: "My FXXin Model!"   ;)

Just put a half section of steel pipe on the leading edge of the tail feathers.   It would create a few extra sparks when the guns are fired at night.
