Or even the right forum??

I guess I wasn't the only one to think of Pulp Fiction when I saw it!
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

I printed a new radar dome for the 357 Hawk (NATO reporting name Ballgag) because the old one was just a little too wide for the grill frame and I was afraid that it would crack it. I'm currently smoothing out the ABS.

Don't know what kind of bomber this would be, though.

Quote from: zenrat on November 13, 2024, 02:57:05 AMHow tall is that grille in the front?  It'd look great on a Hot Rod model especially as it'd confuse the heck out of onlookers trying to work out what car it came from.

There's a nice clear pic of it on Super Hobby with a ruler, seems to be around 2.5cm high by 1.8cm wide. I'm sure Frank can give you more accurate measurements.

Thanks mate.  That's a bit small for a 1/25 Rod.

Actually, it looks to be closer to 35mm high by 30mm wide (using a ruler held up to the screen to get the measurements & holding them up to the scale down the bottom of the image).

Thanks.  A better size, but an expensive way to get a radiator grille for a model car.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Could you use the rest of the Victory Hawk for another project with a new front end grafted on? It might justify the cost, although it's not a cheap kit.

Finished this last night. What's funny is that I liked the 3D render, but the 3D physical object... not so much. Ugly and unrealistic.

I painted an anti-glare panel on the nose in olive drab. I added a pitot tube on the front windscreen, an intake for the jet and an antenna at the rear:

It's a pretty big vehicle, compared to the 1/72 figure. 2411 is the year and month I finished this:

The aluminum is mostly Mig Atom aluminum, with some areas with a mix of Atom aluminum and steel. Some Tamiya panel line accent color helped a bit. The end bits on the pods are from the AMT 1/200 rocket set:

Big radar:

A bit late, but for another version, maybe a row of wheels along the bottom of the outriggers, like the Arado 232 or Messerschmitt 323 Gigant could work?

And yes, it's come up nicely.
