Really?
Other people I've heard from at other places said it looks ridiculous.
Modeling isn't just about how good the gluing or painting, etc. looks. It's also about how creative and imaginative you can be with a subject.
My modeling philosophy is: Don't build what everyone else has done. Build instead what nobody has seen or done before.

Yeah, but they're probably 'Real Worlders' and don't have the insight that we here do.  ;D
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

The blue does look pretty bright, or pure, in the latest photos. Not what I'd immediately recognize as a camo colour. I'm curious to see what the rest of the decals do to it.

kerick

Prototypes can be in some pretty non camo colors sometimes.

These others are wrong. They have obviously never heard of the F-2. I think it's looking really good.

It's bright in the photos due to the camera flash.
As for more decals, I need to buy more or hope some of the members of my local model club might have spares I can use.
I'll be seeing my local model club on the 14th.

Don't listen to those negative vibes. Oh, and build another and paint it yellow. Or pink....

Just take a lesson from ericr and Tophe. It's your model, build it the way you want!

Gondor

I only have 50th Anniversary markings for something on F-2A's so not really appropriate for a test aircraft.

Gondor's Modelling Rule Number Three: Everything will fit perfectly untill you apply glue...

I know it's in a book I have around here somewhere....

Kit's 2nd Rule ALWAYS applies.  ;D

What's the 2nd Rule? And what was the 1st Rule? Did I miss that?

Anyway, getting back on track..............
Sent emails out to all the members of my local modeling club reminding them of the club's Christmas meeting this coming weekend on the 14th.
As I was writing, I also asked them if any members had extra F-16 decals they could spare that they didn't want.
I hope somebody has some so I can get this model done before the end of the year.
