Quote from: Joe C-P on November 30, 2024, 10:34:33 AMSo what time in ancient Egyptian history?  You've thousands of years of history, many eras, dozens of dynasties to play with.  Early, Middle, Late, or Greek periods; probably not during either Intermediate period due to the relative instability of government.
Maybe built after the (original) Battlestar Galactica fleet arrived?  Their flight helmets were meant to invoke pharonic garb, and I assumed they were meant to be a founding influence on the early Egyptians (Galactica 1980 notwithstanding, and ignoring the Mormon origins of the BG series.)

So you go for the BSG origins rather than SG1?

If Noizy keeps the wings short this'll fit through a stargate...

Now that's an interesting idea!

The wings could always fold...

Imagine how many more F-302s they could have got on board a Prometheus-Class, had they used that option...

5th Element at first ,
than Stargate and a bit of 10.000 BC.
It's a Land Rover, NOT a Jeep .
Like a Jeep, but for gentlemen.

That is full speed building this weekend, around 5 different items at the same time....

Got the ship together and decide to build a complete landing gear before starting the paint job.

As John F. Kennedy once said.  ;D
Modeling isn't just about how good the gluing or painting, etc. looks. It's also about how creative and imaginative you can be with a subject.
My modeling philosophy is: Don't build what everyone else has done. Build instead what nobody has seen or done before.

If it was easy, everyone would be doing it. ;)

They are ready, after cutting two angles in the wrong direction  :banghead:  and fix that.
I had to build a tool for the right position at the fuselage, there are some holes needed to hold them propper.

So as Most i went full speed ahead, drilled the holes and melted the edges with classic Revell glue and put both sides in their positions ...

Then fixed all between two CD Covers and get some help from gravity.

The legs make it look vaguely insect-like from some angles.

kerick

Nice solution to a problem! This is looking better each time I see it.

Yep. Not cutting out the middle sprue just proves how sometimes, /not/ doing something can be as important as going the extra mile.
Cheers.
