Very good job on an interesting combo.
Wouldn't nickel silver be stronger and straighter than fuse wire?
I find it and brass  wire very useful and keep various sizes in store.
Owing to the current financial difficulties, the light at the end of the tunnel will be turned off until further notice.

Nickel Silver or brass would work better, and last longer maybe, but I'm about 280 miles from home right now and I always have fuse wire in my tool, box, if only to clean the nozzle of my Revell Contacta glue.  ;D

I'm so glad you are enjoying the Nike Laucher.  I agree it is a great piece of engineering from such and old kit, and lots of fun to play around with.  Now perhaps you know what I mean by needing 5 hands to really get it all lined up, but it really does look great.

Have fun! Dave

Thanks Dave, I'm very glad you recommended it.

You should have been around to see (and hear.....) me getting all the fuse wire pins in place! The air was a bright shade of blue!  :o

You are obviously going to add all the hoses...

I have somewhere a heap of photos of the Bloodhound launcher at the Cosford museum.  I took them with a vague notion of plumbing the 1/72 Airfix kit.

I use a long needle or simply hold it over the gas ring with a pair of pincers, obviously after removing it from the glue bottle  ;)  I've switched to DeLuxe Material's equivalent. So far no blockages.

Amazingly the launcher comes with a lot of the pipework already moulded in, most impressive. But while I can figure out a lot of how it's supposed to work, they seem to be a few lines short.

I'm not sure installing hoses will be possible as the actuators move when they extend and trying to keep the hoses attached under those circumstances could be a problem. :(

Oh this sounds intriguing Kit  ;D
Can you get your hands on flexible model size plastic tubing?
I love that stuff for all my hydraulic pipes ..Tamiya's is brilliant but the annoying part is Tamiya doesn't sell it separately...they bloody should.
How I mount it to my hydraulic rams is solid plastic rod or square styrene..I drill a .5mm hole and glue high grade .4mm copper or brass wire I to the hole..bit of CA and the pipe slips on and bingo ..flexible hydraulic lines
If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .

On the Monterey beaching trolly I used stripped electrical wiring, which worked fine, but the actuators didn't move on that so I just Evo-Stuck them in place. This launcher is a different kettle of fish though as the main actuators swivel around 30 degrees or so.

But the saving grace is any hose connections would be almost invisible underneath the main arm of the launcher.  ;D
