The Rat

Model is the Nichimo 1/48th P-51D, probably in Finnish service. Hate nazi swastikas, but don't mind a hakaristi. Definitely will NOT be working up a backstory for this one, after the past few months I am sick and tired of politics.

Anyway, here's the pit, so far, might do some more work on it. Belts are from wine cork foil.

If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

But will you actually Finnish it in time for the deadline?
In want of hobby space!  The kitchen table is never stable.  Still managing to get some building done.

;D  ;D  Not sure, a critique of the kit will be included in the final reveal.

Those buckley-looking things at the end of the lap belts are actually just the decoration on the foil. Should have taken more time and effort with the shoulder belts.

For back story... what if Germany and the Soviet Union went further than the Molotov–Ribbentrop Pact and became real allies.
... and then there's the one that I've used before, with Germany losing WWII early and the Soviets becoming the new common enemy. I used that to put Spitfire and Napier-Heston Racer derivatives in Finnish, Scandinavian and Baltic hands.

I'm probably binning this, and I don't think I've ever done that before. You need five hands to assemble this, and the fit is worst I have ever seen. It tries to be a quality kit, which is represented by finely recessed panels lines and excellent rivets, better them many other kits you will find. But it also has toy features, like retracting landing gear and operating control surfaces, which are very poorly designed and make construction an excercise in futility.

Stand by for a substitute, which I've just found in the stash. New post inbound...

Well given the large amount of nice kits available these days, being a bit more particular in what you do build is a consideration.
