A quick update to the Whiffie 2025 awards procedure

I'll be flying in this year on our family's rather attractive 6 foot by 4 foot Ispahan (Persian) hand knotted flying carpet..  It can be rolled up for carriage, and draped over the back of my seat for the actual ceremony.  Should the organising committee wish to re-allocate my allocate parking place I would quite understand.

As to the whisky on offer, please may I request either Springbank 20 year old. Highland Park 15 year old or Bruichladdich  Black Art if available.

 A heartfelt plea......a few years ago the venue Health and Safety team required the use of "safe" "unbreakable" foam plastic beakers at the event.   Please don't let them do this again, the whisky melts the beaker and I can assure you that Single Malt  with a polystyrene mixer is NOT a life enhancing experience.

Hopefully this year the Transporter Chief will be a little more accurate and not put me into The Ladies.

And, hopefully, the clothing will be transported this time, too!

Make sure to reserve some time in your calendars as there is a lot of voting to be done!

I also want to take this opportunity to stress that, looking at the average age, gender and appearance of our members, displays like those were seen at this year Grammy awards will not be tolerated at the Whiffie awards ceremony! Any members attempting to emulate this will be forcibly removed from the premises and their stash will be confiscated!

The Academy is in very intense negotiations to get her to attend the 2025 award show but it seems that her boyfriend is nervous that she would not return to him after having seen our members......

Is that the lady who was teleported in to the Grammys, and had the teleport  wardrobe malfunction that Dizzy mentioned a couple of posts back?    If so, I know why her "significant other" won't let her attend the Whiffies...........................he's afraid she'll trade him in for a bunch of 1/72  kits and a bagful of Hataka colours.  Dunno how many kits she'd get for him.
