I always hope for the best.
Unfortunately,
experience has taught me to expect the worst.

Size (of the stash) matters.

The first model in my new stash of 2025 is the old East German kit the 1/72 Be-6 Madge flying boat.
Trumpeter has updated this kit and provides the beaching gear, internal details but once the fuselage halves are glued together the cockpit is the only thing that you will see.
I intend to convert this model into something similar to the Be-12 Mail, I have the engines from the 1/72 Bear H kit and I think two propellers from the same model.

Postage is usually the deal-breaker for me, which is why I like to shop at Ali Express; I look for the Free Postage deals.
Though that's usually for figures & whatnot - I have a friend who imports kits to sell, and is about 30-40% cheaper than a bricks-and-mortar.
And he buys and sells collections, too.

I might be looking more into Ali express Rick ..more for tools and the like ...not like I'm in any rush tho ..cause I'll be buying a swag of blades from Stockers on Wednesday..ive got 2 No11 blades left and they won't last long if I start messing around with my latest project  ;D

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

The '71 Charger, Oh YESSSSSSSSSSSSsssssssssssssssssssss!

The canopy masks for the Ju 588 arrived today, 3 days early all the way from West Canada. Not only that, they sent me a free B-29 mask set because the set they sent me for the He 119 was in the wrong material.

I love those KitMasx people!

That looks interesting. I note it's white metal, so will weigh a bit as well.

The portable engine looks very interesting indeed, although very heavy.   I will admit to a moment of surreal  imagination, thinking that our esteemed colleague had a cunning plan to incorporate the engine into one of the other featured vehicles. It is only with considerable mental acrobatics that I can visualise the Zenrat Industries  1971 Dodge Steam Charger...........but if you build it there will undoubtedly be a rush to put it forward for a Whiffie

It  means that you read  the instruction sheet

But it's 1/76 scale, so it'd be a bit small for the Charger. Maybe one for each wheel though?  ;D
