Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

First kit of the year, as it has been on back order with Hannants since November. Meng 1/72nd scale HIMARS, nice looking kit, and not a silly amount of parts, OR PHOTO ETCH  ;D
Which will do for me

Evil-Bay sent me this.

Transfers are toast.  Bag was sealed.  One broken prop blade.  It joins a civilian Friendship kit (same plastic) which has already donated its TAA transfers to a 'dyne.  Pondering a stretched version with four engines.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

I have one of both versions in the stash, one is to be an ELINT version for Honduras, the other a tactical transport for the RAF, or for operation Saladin.

I built a Bonanza Airlines Fairchild F-227 out of the original Airfix kit, and did the wings in cooking foil and the underside of the fuselage in Bare Metal Foil. It still looks perfect today, and I still exhibit it when I'm at shows with my club, a pretty good kit all round.

The UK Post Office excelled itself by delivering my latest order from the Big H just now, at 5.30 in the evening!  :o

And it was a 2nd Class postage order which I only placed on Wednesday evening when everyone at the Big H had already gone home!!!! Amazing.  ;D

Anyway, it's a 1/72 Tamiya Skyray, the first one I've EVER seen, and thanks to Thorvic who let me know they had them in stock  and a 1/72 Azur Armstrong Whitworth Elswick.......er, sorry, I mean an Ikarus IK-2.  ;D

It's GOING to be an Elswick though,

All there, but the transfers are toast.  Surprisingly small airframe.
