Oh my good friend I'm having thoughts 😅
It will take some hacking and slashing of the crane to get it to sit the way I'm going to want it to lay down for stowage .
And of course I will want it to fully extent 😆
If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .

Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

Also got the New Ware mask Expert mask set for the Skyraider.
Nice 😀 👍
I've got the navy version of the Skyraider ..very yummy 😋

I love the Skyraider! Such a brute looking thing!  ;D   I always wanted a kit of it but when i first became interested in it back in 2014, i could only find the navy A-1H in 1/48 and i wasn't thinking of building in that scale back then. 1/72 kits were very hard to find because the Hase kit was only being released as limited editions and when i did find one for sale, it would cost a kidney so i decided to wait for either a new tool kit or until i got lucky and found the Hase kit at a reasonable price.
Also, i'd already built the Airfix 1/72 F6F Hellcat from the same year as their Skyraider(1968 :o ) and with it being one of my favorites, i simply wanted a better kit than the Airfix oldie.
In 2019 i finally gave in, bought the Tamiya H instead of the J version, which was the one i really wanted... I know the H is very similar to the J but i decided i wanted a second kit.
A few years ago, the Hase kit has been re-released by Hobby 2000 and last year by Hasegawa themselves but it still costs almost as much as the Tamiya 1/48 kit so i finally went ahead and got the kit i wanted in the first place.
Regarding the Tempest... Well, i'll just blame Chris(NARSES2) for that one...

Hahaha..yep I blame Chris for the 2 Trumpeter 48th De Havilland Hornets I've got now 😆
Ya know I've never built a 72nd Skyraider..always been 48th and I still weirdly remember the first one I ever built ..a Monogram one ..and the 2nd and the 3rd ..all Monogram..I don't remember but I think Monograms was the only game in town for a 48th scale one...oh I've had a ton of 72nd scale kits when I was younger but never a Skyraider and I know they were out there as I had the F4 Phantom and so on and so forth 😉
I'm very tempted to hunt down another Tamiya Skyraider..im having ideas now 🤔 😬

Hahahaha 😆    obsessed is the same curse we all have in one way or another 😂
As for the stash it's been a epic day...turns out a won I was bidding on is over and I won ..now ive got a 1/35 Hobby Boss Coyote TSV Tactical Support Vehicle 6x6 ...super happy with that

But the best part of today was Stocker Models ..as usual they had a pile of crap put aside for me ..amongst the pile of crap is a very nice pile of 1/24th scale Monogram and Revell model car bits and bobs..a small pile of sheet styrene..brass wire and rod ..clear styrene sheets and so on ...but the best part is this destroyed MPC 10th Anniversary Firebird Trans Am...a 1/16th scale Firebird !!!!  😁
Complete with a 455cid big block V8 and I don't know how many of you blokes will remember but I also scored a couple of 1/16th scale Cobras with bits missing which included both engines a while ago....well here's the thing ..ive now got a 455cid for one of the cars but in the box is two halves of a blue small block V8..the same colour blue as one of the Cobras and now ive got 2 Cobras with 2 engines 😆😆😆
I absolutely love it when things like this happen 😍 😄

It gets better Fred mate 👌
I was looking at the Cobras this morning and seeing what is there to work with...one car has 4 wheels and tyres and the other doesn't..well it turns out the Cobras rims fit the Firebirds tyres perfectly and with all the other 24th car bits are these very large and quite wise wheels with tyres...now Cobra No2 also has a complete set of wheels and tyres too 👍 😀.
Now to figure out what to do ..thinking one a nasty version with NOS and the other more sedate..ish 🤪

Can you use the words 'Cobra' and 'sedate' in the same sentence?  :-\
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Started with a new product yesterday, searching for real matte varnish . This is not so strong as the Vallejo PU stuff, but works good with the glaze addition from them.
