IIRC, IRL the Hurricane IID was trialled briefly in Europe, before
1. the 3" RP became the standard ground attack ordnance and
2. the Hurri itself was being phased out by that time.

So, why not equip the Typhoon with the 'S' guns as a test/interim measure?

Simpler is fine, saves time for the next project!

The primary reason for not using the Hurricane IID in the European theatre was the German AAA opposition. The Hurricanes were too vulnerable because of the attack profile that had to be followed, the IIDs had to fly too low, and too slow in order for the guns to be the most effective. With the rockets the aircraft could blast in at high speed, rip off a volley and be gone in seconds. Also the rockets had a demoralizing effect on the German soldiers because you could never tell where one would hit. That the S-Guns were far more accurate than the rockets in terms of taking out armour became irrelevant.

That makes sense.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

At last I have found a Triang Pullman with the grey and blue BR livery which runs, power car plus dummy power car. They are a bit playworn but this fits with my conversion, the previous pair will donate their bodyshells to become a middle carriage. The spare power car will become the testbed for the Dapol/Kitmaster locomotive Deltic 01.

The Wooksta!

I'd lay odds on it being the same kit, given that Trumpeter and Hobbyboss are effectively the same company.

Another win on eBay, a built 1/72 C-130 RAAF which is in need of some repairs. This would be a candidate for the Lockheed L-400 , twin engine C-130.
I might have some spare parts in the stash or need to buy some aftermarket parts. Plenty of PSR on the wings with the removal of the outer engines and a new paint job.
