They'll never get it back, and the Flying Doctor might get a bit peeved.  ;D

Quote from: Wardukw on April 07, 2025, 09:39:51 PMYou'll have zero problems with the paint Ratty but it does work best with AK thinners ..ive tried a few different thinners and they've not worked well at all .
But once it's thinned damn it sprays nice  ;D

Yes, I forgot to pick some up when I bought the set. Tried thinning it with water, mixed very well but it was waaaay too thin, I'll try dialing it back. I saw somewhere that you can use IPA, but when I tried that it turned into a gloopy lumpy sludge that looked like manatee snot. (Experienced that ;D ) I was only trying tiny bits mixed in a bottle cap, no way I'm wasting paint this expensive!  ;D
Manatee snot ?? Not even going to think of asking  ;D  ;D
I tried water with AK and man it's was exactly as you described...totally unsprayable and clogged up immediately...I tried retard ..it doesn't like Tamiya at all ..and yep the thinning issues ..got over that that lol 😆
If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .

Why anyone would waste a decent pint on thinning paint is beyond me  ;)
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

If these are what were "White Ensign - Colour Coats" then they are really nice paints. I use them for my Japanese projects.

AK 3rd Gen can't be thinned with alcohol, although water or Vallejo airbrush thinner work well. The paint has a very high pigment density, so mix it well or you'll waste a lot of time cleaning out the airbrush.

Probably best thing you could do with IPA. I'd describe it as several things but, "decent" ain't one of them!! ;)  ;D

There are some decent IPA's out there, Brixton Breweries is one, but if you are refering to Charington's then I can't disagree with you. I'm a bitter man anyway, local club does a really good selection of hand pump guest ales

There's a local brewer who a few years back decided to brew some IPAs from late 18th to early 19th century British brewery recipes. Staggeringly huge amounts of hops, the IBUs of the beers ranged from a low of 320 to a high of 790+.
🤣
I wonder what it tasted like after months in a barrel on its way to the East. Did it take on hints of oak?
