I guess this has been done previously but it's a nice pasture of time to cut down a 1/144 Boeing 707 fuselage and combine this with a cut 1/120 Douglass DC-9. This is the result:

Now there is also another 4 engined variant coming up (Il-62/VC-10 style).
Need to figure out if they'll both be in the same livery (either Finnair or Swissair).

Now I start thinking about it I might be able to do a single engined DC-9 aswell (have this DC-10 tailsection + engine banging around).

Why does that remind me of a Convair 880?

I tried a single engined DC9 once, but I don't think I finished it, I used a #2 engine from a 727-100 as one from a DC10 looked RIDICULOUSLY huge!  :o

It would have been a DC9-5, or even a DC9-2.5  ;D

Great fun though and I like a DC-8 over an Boeing 707/720. So let's give it a try..

LOL, that was my first thought, too!  ;D

Looks good, nevertheless!

Looks rather like a Kawasaki P-1.
