There's a few clubs that like doing themed builds based on colours. If you ever get involved in one here's an idea...

Fire Retardant Spray!

That lovely stuff that they keep dropping in California and other places gets everywhere. It's mostly Pink but I have seen photos of orange or red drops. All you have to do is build a model or diorama and spray the whole thing with a layer of your preferred retardant colour.

What about someone sitting in a folding chair under a beach umbrella and about to cop a retardant drop? ;)
(can't seem to find the scene, or even a gif... dangit)

I'm trying to remember the name of a page member, long since retired from the scene, who had a predeliction for all things pink.

EDIT: It was Leigh, last active December 11, 2012

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Wasn't that from Always with Richard Dreyfuss?

I do recall a movie scene where a fisherman jumps from their boat as a firefighting plane near misses them... but which movie?

Weaver

This was literally done for a "paint-it-pink" challenge to raise money for breast cancer research that was done on another site, but IIRC, at least one other person from here entered.

Correct!
And the scene with the fishermen jumping overboard to avoid the Catalina making a water collection is from the start of that same movie.

A nice little film, and with both A-26s   and Holly Hunter  - what's not to like??

I'm trying to figure out what I would paint pink and how many coats of white primer it would take. I need to find a kit molded in white, or pink.
There was the movie about "The Wackiest Ship in the Army". A pink submarine if I remember right.

There is a very bad 70's russian kit of a WW 2 fighter made in pink styrene somewhere very deep in my stash
It's a Land Rover, NOT a Jeep .
Like a Jeep, but for gentlemen.

You can get the decals for both aircraft from Draw Decal.

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Yep! I have the A-26 ones in the transfer stash for future use.
The plane is part built, I just need the impetus to finish her. One Day!  :-\
