The Wooksta!

But going going back to Ratty's question, and my own witless burbling about navalised Mosquitoes, I found this photo lurking in a folder that I didn't know I had.

RG173, which I posted earlier upthread, in earlier days with one of the Navy training units.  You can see the strengthening strip but no hatch, as well as the arrestor hook underneath and the four blade prop which were replaced at some point.  If you squint a bit, you can just about make out the unit codes, which would be in yellow.

Likely taken at RNAS Stretton at some point in 1947?  The codes are probably GP-8P - there's a photo in an Ian Thirsk book of what he thinks may be RG171 at Stretton in a similar scheme with the codes GP-8C.

That's a BRILL shot, thanks so much.

Maybe when I eventually build my Tamiya PR one......................

I've got some resin cameras already.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)
