A guy on YouTube built a four wheel off road vehicle for his girlfriend who apparently couldn't ride a bicycle. He took two e bikes and welded a frame between them with a sturdy seat. So far a really good idea. Now if we go insane and connect two motorcycles together so we could go 80 mph instead of 15 mph that could qualify as a Bad Idea!

A motorcycle chariot race is clearly a Bad Idea! I wonder if that's where George Lucas got the idea for the Pod Racers?

They had  one in the movie Furiosa ..a mad max saga ...Liam Hensworth rode it  and I believe it's actually been done for real by a custom bike builder some yrs ago.
The racing looks like a bad idea and brilliant at the same time 😆 🤣

There was a large (1/9?) scale model of a motorcycle chariot racing setup at Model Expo last year.  ISTR having a chat with the bloke what built it.  Comrade Harps and/or Buzzbomb might have been there as well.  My memory is a bit hazy.

Why not indeed?  The real world (you know, that funny place that gets in the way of whiffery) did have Fairey Swordfish biplanes with rocket assisted take off:- https://www.iwm.org.uk/collections/item/object/205159122  after certain measures had been undertaken  to ensure that the fabric covered bits of aeroplane didn't become a roaring conflagration.     This is getting close to a rocket biplane.

Trevor mate theres a youtube channel called Found and  explained ...he covers a heapnof weird ..steange and just damn bad ideas in the aircraft world ..there's alot of birds on there which are technically not impossible but pointless for their intended purposes 😏

Yeah, there was a Russian one too, with an odd modular fuselage and a forward mounted wing swept back and an aftermarket mounted one swept forward, effectively making it a biplane.  Can't remember what it was called though, I'm sure I've got it in a book somewhere...

Here's one, Lockheed CL-1201. Several crazy ideas in one. Nuclear powered, check. Feckin' huge, check. Launch 10 nuclear missiles while carrying 22 aircraft, so put all our eggs in this massive basket, check. Oh, and make it VTOL as if we haven't got enough problems getting small aircraft off the ground in the sixties, check.
