1955? I was there for that one.  ;D

My Dad was a judge for the RAF's Fencing Team, and he was always roped in for the inter-service fencing competitions at the Royal Tournament, and we'd all go along for the ride on the Saturday's of the event.

The Field Gun race was always exciting, and the Navy teams didn't always win either.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

One of our local Scout Leaders made a scaled down Gun Run for the local Cubs to compete in - it was a complete reproduction of the guns, ammo carts and poles etc which the two cub packs competed in at our local carnival

I remember when they used to do that at the Edinburgh Military Tattoo.  They had to haul the guns up the walls of the castle and onto the Parade Ground and fire them.  Most impressive.

NARSES2

We used to go every year when I was a nipper, late 50's to mid 60's, and Dad would always cheer the Portsmouth team on (if they were participating) like  a lunatic as that had been his depot. Nearly got in a punch up with a ex matelot who was supporting Chatham Depot once   They had a pint afterwards  :drink:

Probably the only bit of Boer War history my dad knew  ;D
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.
