The pooch is fine. She's had enough trouble herself. She had a bladder stone removed a couple of weeks ago.
I've been working late in the evening on the Slammer. It's a good time to concentrate.

Broken my fare share of ribs ...it's not good..hopefully your lady is totally fine with nothing serious bud .

Sprained left ankle and broken right rib.
The worst problem is getting her to sit still and let me do the work.
Of course my wife had her gall bladder removed a week ago.
I told her she is not allowed to walk the dog without adult supervision. Or at least one of the neighbor kids.

The ankle is good it's only a sprain ..that'll heal up  ..the rib is going to be annoying though 😒

Busted my ribs a couple of times playing football and cricket at school, memory says it hurt. Hope the Mrs gets well soon

She's already putting too much weight on the ankle the dr told her to stay off of. She'll pay the price for that later today when it gets sore.

Photo dump. Boxes look good. I glued a blue piece of sprue behind the parts to stiffen it up while I was handling them otherwise it would have fallen apart at the seams.









Tailgate end or front end, what do you guys think?

Ken I'm going to use the tailgate end and put small ladders on each side ..they'll sit just above the ground ..easy to climb and when the tailgates up ..so are the ladders 🪜

I was going to put some diamond plate over the wood pattern on the floor of the bed but the pattern on the sheet I have is much too big. Time to go shopping again. Spent some time cleaning up the lockers and cutting out the side windows. I bought a set of saw blades with actual teeth that made short work of it. I used it in the dremel tool and it still melted more than it cut. I'll try a regular drill next time to see if I get a cleaner cut. The hatch on the passenger side is drilled out and sanded smooth.

I think I'll end up using the tailgate end of the bed. It just makes more sense. Either way I'll have to make a ladder.

I'll save the rest of the bed for the future and maybe make a trailer out of it. I should make a mold of the tailgate.

My wife had a follow-up visit with her regular doctor today. Turns out she has two broken ribs and a broken ankle. I'm ordering a bubble wrap suit tomorrow.

Indeed, and a busted ankle can take a right old time to heal completely. Tell her to stay off it.

The texture stuff is a good idea! I use Rustoleum Terra cotta texture paint. Best if I spray it on lightly and use just one coat of color paint.
