Having successfully modified the port wing of the Dalgety (as well as I could manage it anyway....) I've now started on the starboard wing. I'm not going to bore you with a step-by-step pic-fest of it as it will be just the same as the first one, but the other way round!

My main problem is figuring where I made the cuts in the jetpipes as that determines the shape of the Griffon's fairing aft of the nacelle itself, and all my cut lines on the port wing are buried in TONS of putty of course.

Ho hum...............

If there's one thing I detest more than PSR when modelling it's re-scribing panel lines! Trying to line up the rule with the original lines and avoid 'double lining' always drives me nuts and almost invariably results in MORE PSR to get rid of the excess lines!  :banghead:

But it's even worse with the Dalgety as it's an old Airfix kit, the 'panel lines' are all raised, and as I'd sanded off large amounts of them doing the wing mods, the only solution was the sand off the entire model and start all over, with the aid of a good Canberra drawing of course. I had to invent some panel lines around the Griffon cowlings of course, that wasn't too difficult to figure out.

Currently I've got the whole of the port wing finished and most of the tail surfaces, but I'm dreading doing the panel lines on the fuselage as I'll have to use the 'Dymo Tape' method as the fuselage is circular along its entire length! :(

This is  the port wing, carefully posed to emphasis the panel lines, after its 7th or 8th PSR session!

It's 'patchwork quilt' time on the starboard wing. I think I have NINE bits of scrap styrene making up the underside fairing so far.  ;D

And I've not even started on the topside fairing, let alone the PSR!  :o

That's fun ain't it   :banghead:
Hacking and slashing waste bits of plastic to just fill up gaps even before the 3 letters of doom 😑
If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

The building is what I love. Every stalled build of mine is in the paint or decal stage.

Yes, I'm exactly the same. There comes a time right at the end of the actual build when it all seems to go wrong and grinds to a halt. I can think of maybe 10-15 builds I've got in that state right now.  :banghead:  :banghead:

The Dalgety isn't on that list though.  ;D

Pretty much the same problems I'm having bud...the finishing part but very soon two aircraft of mine will be done done

Now that will be the best kind of progress, to the finish line!
I get hung up sometimes deciding which filler to use. Bondo spot putty, Perfect Plastic Putty, CA glue or UV resin.

Mucho puttying continues on the starboard wing, and I haven't even started on the upper surface yet. No matter, it's getting there and looking good too.
