During the Second World War the Royal Navy was so desperate for escort vessels they even dipped into their accommodation ships to provide armed escort vessels.

The advantage of a sailing ship was the lack of need of fuel, and inherent quiet as they snuck up on U-boats to drop depth charges.
In want of hobby space!  The kitchen table is never stable.  Still managing to get some building done.

Re-arming HMS Victory with 25-pounders and a depth charge rack?

And a couple of torpedo tubes too?

In reality you could drop an underwater microphone and listen for U-boats without engine noise interfering.
Although torpedo tubes and depth charges are an interesting mod!

What it really needs is Squid or Limbo ASW mortars.

You know, the ones that are mounted at the back and fire forwards around the superstructure...

Widespread use could see the Kriegsmarine procuring chain shot for their Schnellboote.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Put a couple of twin pompom guns on it for AA defense..that way when they swing the guns around to follow an enemy aircraft the gunners wi blow the mast and rigging to bits  ;D

50 Cals at the mastheads...

...and a team of midshipmen running a stream of ammo boxes up to them.

Yes that's the general idea: aids dispersal of the bombs, and keeps the riggers on their toes, dontcha know?
