I was unaware that Shelby sold the Mustang 350 as a convertible and started putting the parts from the Revell 1/24 Shelby Mustang GT 350 H onto the Revell 1/24 '64 1/2 Ford Mustang convertible.
Overhere in the UK it's only recently that there's been a right-hand-drive models available so naturally I'm in the process of creating my own RHD although the windscreen wipers will be in the wrong position. The convertible will have the top glued in place as I have used the folded top in the stored position on the Ford Caprise RS3100 convertible which might use some of the decals and leftover parts.
The white interior has been painted acrylic black, the 4.7 litre V8 is undergoing painting along with the chassis The GT 350 bonnet/hood and side scoops will be used. I haven't decided which grill I will use.
Most of the parts from the two kits are the same apart from the engine rocker covers and oil sump tray. Quite a few shiny parts.

I've been following the instructions which are almost the same one is a black and white printed on two sheets of paper and the other one is the updated booklet. This should really have the different colour paint as printed artwork which would make it easier to follow. The tub has been glued to the convertible bodyshell (interior painted matt black ⚫).The engine has been detailed but I will double check it with the real photos to see if I have missed any of the components and the chassis glued on, held with masking tape.
Something must be wrong as my vehicle kits don't usually go together without problems or gaps.
Just have to decide on the bodyshell colour, wheels, bumpers/fenders and indicators.
