Yup ..the The Tripple T ...or the Tuk Tuk Technical  ;D
Funnily Fred gave me this and he's also come up with the name too 🤙🤘
I'm going to build this little monster from a Arii 57 Daihatsu Midget 3 wheeler and a IBG TKS tankette with link and lenght tracks
The  tracks are a massive 5mm wide ..a single link is 5 x 1.2mm  ;D  :o
To give you an idea on just how small this is the entire lower hull is 38mm wide x 66mm long ..a king tiger tanks turret is wider than this hull is long by 8mm 😆

What I'm going to do take this hull and narrow it down to the max width of the tuktuk for starters ..im going to also use the tankettes engine aswell so you'll be able to see that sitting in the back .
Above that on a custom built mount will be 2 stolen 35th scale Hind D rocket pods
This  will be a small build ..literally 😊
The back story will be a vehicle captured from russian forces by the Ukrainians .
The Russians are so so desperate for any MLRS systems that this monstrosity was built 😳 🤣
Least that's the idea for the mo anyways  ;D
If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .

Looking forwards to this!

So this is the Tuk Tuk Technical that the Russian Orks got as a gift from the Norks who stole it from Japan in the 50s?

Are you going to rescale it to 1/35? It makes it slightly roomier (although I'm not sure how close to 1/32 the original kit is).

Here's my build ... without the rocket pods and tracks.

I remember that  ;D
Such a sweet little build ..mine is the same kit...but mine is getting a wee bit of a modification

I've already made a start on this and is it gonna suck ?
Yep 😁
The tracks are a fecking nightmare ..so small and with zero location points but I've made slight headway with the ground set..I needed the bottom tracks on to get the heights right and this part is a success...fact it was dead easy 👌
Tomorrow I'll finish the tracks and then narrow the hull to be more in line with front ..oh and to make it worse 🙃

Good luck.   ;D

I still need to get myself one of the three wheelers as I want to build a chopper version with an extended front end.

Mate a chopper Midget would be funny as hell 🤣
Absolutely love that idea and having built this one and then cut it up your gonna have fun 👍 😁

Myself and others would be very interested to see what you'd do with this little beast 😄
I suspect the words "epic" and "cool" will be used 😉

Now that I would love to see! You could large parts of it out to be chromed.

Fred - you should add a ridiculously oversized engine, as well...

Wardukw

Fred you've definitely gotto go stupid big for an engine...but not to stupid big..not something which weights more than the Midget    .

Today's plans changed ...mate Willie turned up needing his trailer plug rewired and if I could see why his boat trailer lights won't work.
Plug sorted after making a new loom for it ..wiring it up and testing..
The trailer tho..nope ..12 volt lights need 12 volts to work ..I was getting anywhere from 6.3 to 8.7 volts thru the wire ..salt water ..wire killer .
So once he gets new LED lights I'll rewire the entire trailer  ;D
Tomorrow everything going good ...Tripple T time 😁

With the launcher rails and mount kinda sorted i needed a simple way to elevate the rails and i remembered something i had seen many yrs ago so i went with that and made this ...i started with some PE parts from an old Stryker interior set ive got the remains of ..and then kept go until i ended up with this ..

I used 1/24th car batteries to use as small truck batteries to be able to fire off these rockets ...they were prefect for my needs ,,still some more wiring to go but not much ..

A bit closer look are the elevation system ..

That is some amazing scratch building on the rocket launcher! Great job on the TKS tracks, too!

buzzbomb

Wow.. not quite how my minds eye saw it.. .but I really like it.
Really nice scratch work on the launcher setup with the screw elevation the cherry on top
