This has potential. How about a movie prop group build?

Perhaps a Beech 18 with a cut down fuselage and a one-and-a-half Harvard canopy?

Don't worry about the engines, if Harvards can represent Typhoons in A Bridge Too Far....

You mean if Harvards/T6s/SNJs can represent almost any World War II radial engine fighter or fighter bomber...

😂 Harvard as a Bf110!

Seriously, a couple were painted up to represent Hawker Typhoons in ABTF (https://www.key.aero/forum/historic-aviation/67495-harvard-film-roles and http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v734/Aeroplanepix/misc/ATB07.jpg)

They ended up using flying models in

When ya think of the amount of work that went into modifying those planes they do look pretty good to be honest.
If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

Yeah; get the correct camera angles and they're not too unbelievable.

Indeed. But, as the Proctor didn't have gull wings, it means "they" cut up the wing structure and put it together again, I wonder with how much study about strenght and whatever. I don't wonder that pilots were not enthusiasts about flying the thing.
Owing to the current financial difficulties, the light at the end of the tunnel will be turned off until further notice.

And a Proctor was marginally underpowered in standard form too. And maybe a lot more so with all those structural mods as well.  :-\
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Good news. The second of the two kits I am going to build for this has arrived today.

Yeah if the wing spars were cut I wouldn't fly it.

Didn't know that... to misquote Led Zep, "That's a Whole Lot of Nope!" :banghead:

The Proctor has folding wings, inherited from its Gull antecedents, meaning that
they didn't have to cut the wing spars.
It was "just" a matter of reengineering the angles of attachment of the inner and outer wing sections.

But the inner part of the wings was more or less straight, maybe even a continuous spar, to obtain the Stuka gull-wing shape, also the inner wings would have to be structurally modified, as can be seen on the photo posted.

Quite different shape in front view, don't you think?

Lots of mods all around which could influence the airframe strength. I wonder if there was an inspection process during the reconstruction.

Surely you jest! The film (read - 'Making Money') is more important than anything else, no? :banghead:
