Quote from: frank2056 on March 30, 2025, 10:44:07 PMGreat idea! The tank ran pretty well on any terrain that lacked trenches, gullies, hills, bumps or irregularities - ie, flat. When provoked, it also had a tendency to drop or break critical bits and pieces of the tracks. All in all, a perfect vehicle for Antarctica!
Remove the gun and it improves the tank somewhat.

Replace the gun with a pneumatic/ black power catapult for a light observation biplane

Quote from: RAFF-35 on March 31, 2025, 05:11:43 AMI wanted to go with an A7V originally as the Germans would have had a better back-story. But I couldn't find a 1:72/ 1:76 A7V anywhere  :banghead:

It is odd that there isn't a 1/72/1/76 scale one (there might be a wargames one around ?) especially as you can get a 1/144 one

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

It costs nearly £21!!!!  :o

For a 1/144 scale model that's about 2" long!
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

I found one! ;D

Mironious Models out of Athens, Greece.

Their stuff isn't cheap, though.

BNA Models is showing them "Out of Stock", which won't help you for this GB.

PS: I rather liked this figure set;  ;D

So, I'm gathering that your comments mean that you can't see the images?

Whatever, I'll replace the images.

Emhar did an A7V in 1/72. I've built one, nice little kit.  Hard to find at the moment but not impossible, at least in the UK.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

I can still those pics without a problem...weird how you other blokes can't see em 🤔

Raff mate ..😄😄😄
Brilliant bad idea this one ...as long as this tank doesn't have to cross a ditch deeper than 3 feet ...it'll be fine 😉
If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

Thank you for the link to Mironious! I've not seen their stuff before  :o  I did go on BNA Models already but discovered the A7V to be out of stock.

Maybe this will be an A7V build yet

I remember seeing the Emhar kits everywhere and they were a good price too. I thought it would make a good subject for this whiff but now I can't find one anywhere  :banghead:

That's ridiculous pricing! I just can't justify spending that amount on a 1/144 tank

Brilliant as in brilliantly good or brilliantly bad?
I don't think it would be able to travel far enough to find a 3ft deep ditch
