As did I, and there's still a couple I don't fully understand.

Quote from: loupgarou on April 05, 2025, 12:33:36 PMWhy the trans-Tasman war changed in "sea"?

I thought it made it a little bit clearer, nothing sinister.
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Quote from: kerick on April 05, 2025, 11:13:32 AMYou could roll the F4 Phantom GB into the Century Series GB.

I thought hard about that, but settled on giving the Phantom separate billing purely on the basis of it being such an iconic aircraft, even for a diehard prop-head like me.

Keep it as is. They're not conflicting. If the Phantom GB gets the nod, then no other Centuries, but if the Century GB hits it, then we can decide to include Phantoms as well. Or not. (I'm for  )

I managed to vote 10 times and considering how many choices there are ..this wasn't easy .
Will be very interesting to see what makes it to the second round 🤔 😀
If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

Interesting so far, one choice just ahead and FIVE tieing for 2nd place!  :o
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

My thinking with these votes is not what I want to build (I can do that anytime) but what I would like to see others build.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Very tight vote!  :o

Only two of my selections are in that top 8, at the moment.  ;)

Well the F-4 Phantom was first designated as the F-110 Specter for US Air Force service....

I say the F-4 should not be part of a Century series GB.  I agree it is iconic enough as is, and Phantoms would detract from the other less modeled century series.

The GB is titled Century Series Plus. When I proposed it, I wasn't sure about adding F-110, F-111 and F-117. However, I knew the question would be asked and I feel it covers a fair period of the USAF while being slightly restricted to 2nd and 3rd Generation F designations. To be honest, including the F-109 pushes the subject into a slightly later period anyway.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

PR19_Kit

I had to look up the F-109. How bizarre could they get?  :o

It's an odd beastie isn't it? Well worth picking up this bookazine that describes the machine, worth it for the cover art alone.

Hmm, for some reason I never saw that thread and it's just the sort of thing I'd have latched onto.

Sadly none of the RetroMechanix pages exist any more. :(

It's a great shame, there was some excellent stuff on there.  :-\
