Quote from: sandiego89 on April 06, 2025, 06:17:59 AMI say the F-4 should not be part of a Century series GB.  I agree it is iconic enough as is, and Phantoms would detract from the other less modeled century series.

Lets leave discussions over the rules until if and when a subject makes the GB schedule for the next season.

There are now 3 tied for 1st place & 5 tied for 2nd.

It's gone 2-and-2, now! :o

Your votes count, people! Keep it up!

Lets remember this is purely the preliminary vote in order to whittle down the list to something manageable for the second round of voting. Being in the lead now basically means now't we're only on the first lap. (I was a decent 880 runner  ;) )

Did you see the price ???!! 👀   :o
Oh the same boat Chris ..memory I would say is a pain in the arse butthe primary cause is further up the body ...weirdly remembering the models I've built is one memory which doesn't seem to go...I still clearly remember the first two model planes I ever had ..a Airfix Mk something Spitfire and a Airfix Lancaster..both 72nd scale  ;D

Oh forgot to mention 😆
Thanks to a mate I've got a first release Airfix Lancaster and the very first armour kit too ..a 32nd Monogram Flakvierling 👍

Apropos of nothing.

Lets not forget that even though one might have proposed a GB subject which managed to get through the voting system and became one of the chosen three, one has little to no say in what is included unless one is a Mod.
I learnt this the hard way, not being allowed to build what I had in mind when I made the suggestion.
So if you feel strongly about maintaining control of "your baby" you'll need to put your hand up when Chris calls for volunteers.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Go on then  Fred, tell us what it was you couldn't build. You know you want to.  ;D  ;)
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

No.  I don't want to upset anyone.   :-X

It was no biggie in the end as what I eventually built turned out well.  But at the time i was rather annoyed.

26 voters and there is a FOUR tie (what's trhe correct wording ? ) for first place !!
BTW; I see not a few GB with zero votes. Does it means that even their promoters don't find them interesting ?
Owing to the current financial difficulties, the light at the end of the tunnel will be turned off until further notice.

Maybe they felt they shouldn't vote for their own proposals? I didn't.

Well 36 members voted in last years preliminary round, so that might explain it. However I have my own views as to why we get 0 votes for some subjects and I'll keep them to myself.

Currently it looks as though the requirement to make Round Two will be 7 votes or more. Currently that would give us 12 entries into Round Two.

Voting closes in just over a week, although if it slows up to the extent it's come to it's natural finish then I might well close earlier. I'll give notice if I decide to do that.

I have been penalised in the past for voting for my own proposals and builds otherwise I would have voted for all of my suggestions.

Joe C-P

No more apocalypses.  None.  I'm so done with that tripe of a trope.

How would I put spats on a ship/boat?

Of course, I have to get on the present Bad Idea build one of these days!
In want of hobby space!  The kitchen table is never stable.  Still managing to get some building done.

That's a very good question.
Spat shaped paddle wheel cover to make it more hydrodynamic?

Also, what would spats on a tank look like? Side skirts that ballon out and come almost to the ground? I'm not being sarcastic. How would it work on anything other than aircraft? Some cars had rear wheel covers that were spat like. 1930s I believe.
