What if the Avro Shackleton had entered service during WW2?

The Super Avro Lancaster became the Avro Lincoln and likewise the Super Lincoln spurned the Avro Shackleton. Although there isn't an all plastic Avro Shackleton MR.1 kit available in 1/72, there's the Elliott /Sanger vacform kit and the Alleycat conversion set which the Airfix Avro Shackleton MR.2 is recommended to use although the MR.3 with a little PSR can be an option if this is unavailable.
I have tried using the gun turrets from various Avro Lancaster kits with the Shackleton MR.3 but I found that the Shorts Stirling parts are a much better fit especially the rear and upper turret. The Avro Lincoln nose turret is a better option but I think that I will try scratch building to get a better profile.
The engines from the Shorts Stirling were fitted on the Avro Lancaster and do fit the Shackleton, so do the early Rolls-Royce Merlin engines . Prototype examples would probably be fitted with six (I'm not an aeronautical engineer by trade), Avro Lincoln B.1 and B.2 engines also fit along with the North Star conversion set.
Bomber Command and Coastal Command would have been the primary users with a few specials for selected missions. Troop transporter and parachute/freighter and I know it's a whiff the personal aircraft of the Prime Minister.

This will be a kitbash using multimedia kits and spare parts as I haven't mastered the art of building a complete vacform kit.
