With the bunch of left over Japanese kits was a derelict early Ki-15-I (Babs) and a 1/75 Hasegawa F1M2 (Pete) and started figuring what if I combine both into a Japanese copy of the P-26 peashooter?

Out came the Dremel and cutter and in minutes the fuselages were mated. Wing span off the Babs was a tad too big for a single seater (Babs is a twin seater) so had to cut it just outside the spats (Sorry PR19_Kit) and took out just over 1 cm and angled the wings a little forward. Next I covered the hole left over by the gunner position of the Pete and moved the cockpit of the Babs a little forward.

Anyway, it's waiting for a some paint.. maybe copy the scheme of an A5m?

Love it. What you going to call it?

Aw, cute!
Looks reminiscent of the Fokker D.XXI as well.

Maybe in USAAC colours, with a Fokker alongside, as trials aircraft? Just a wild thought...

Oh, that's nice, and elegant, too! I could imagine this either in an all-green-grey IJN scheme (à la A5M), or with a simple green/brown/grey land cammo with Manchurian markings? The big radial engine gives some Soviet/I-16 vibes, too?

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

My thoughts as well Dizzy, whereas the rest of it looks very Japanese, so Japanese Communist AF ?
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.
