Great concept and finish mate

Interesting! Both Brazil and Argentina were interested in the Phantom, for land-based use. Brazil went as far as to order 24 Es in 1972, but while the DOD as well as McAir pushed for the sale, the State Department refused to go along and the Brazilian AF had to settle for the F-5E. Argentina went for the Mirages and Daggers, but were able to buy ex-USN Skyhawks.

Yeap the US State department tried to keep Central & South America under control by limiting exports and preventing an Arms Race on the American continent. They had to make do or turn to France, Isreal or Russia for modern aircraft.

Might be interesting to see "What-If" Peru had turned to the soviet union earlier and became more of a threat or if Brazil had continued its wartime alliances and Joined in the founding of NATO.

*low, evil chuckle* There are some of us in the US who've often wondered just what country the US State Department is actually representing; they often seem to be working against the best interests of the US.

I think that's true of all "Foreign Office" departments everywhere !

Great model Anthony, really top hole

and strangely relaxing to look at.

Love the smooth finish of the top surface gray. Brush or airbrush?
