Ok guys,

here's a few pics of my completed Sea Defiant from the MPM kit. This was good fun to do tho the photos don't do it justice completely as they were from my new digital camera and I'm still getting the hang of it

The last time I delurked in any major way the forum went down. I've been looking at this site for at least 2 years now - a great place

Regards

William

I like that, bet it would throw a few people if put in a show.

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Radish

Very, very VERY good.
That'll certainly confuse quite a few.
I love it

Great looking Defiant.. Wonder how she'd perform without the turret and all the gubbins that goes with it.. It's got a nice profile sans turret.

Chris, you're bang on as usual mate, that one is gonna be a head turner at shows.

Very nice build, well done. Looks somwhat like a Hurricane in profile.
In want of hobby space!  The kitchen table is never stable.  Still managing to get some building done.

Yeah, that's what the Luftwaffe thought for a while, and they got a very nasty surprise until they figured it out.  ^_^

Thank you one and all for the praise.

I've been a bit reluctant to show this - my modelling is not quite as good as the photo makes out. I always seem to end up with a few pieces of dust and the occasional scratch on my kits - fortunately they don't show up in photos.

The resemblance to a Hurricane is uncanny for someone like me where I have little knowledge of British planes ( way too much time spent perusing all those Luft46 designs) and the machine gun positions are exactly that of a Hurricane as I used a Revell Hurricane wing to get the spacing.

There was a whole lot of Milliput used to get rid of that turret and a damn lot of sanding and resending to get a profile I was happy with.
