I had read somewhere that a Wesley made a flight from Africa all the way to Australia. I dunno if was nonstop, but it was implied. Cool airplane. A really great friend sent me one once. I've been saving it for a time when I can get my skills back and do a good job of her.

Can't remember the exact details but yes there were a couple of very long range flights made - details are in the Putnams Vickers book - if anyone is interested I can dig out and precis ?

Two Wellesleys made a non-stop flight of 11,525 km in 48 hours from Ismailia, Egypt, to Darwin, Australia. The record stood for 8 years, but I can't remember what year they did it.
