Inspiration struck today on a future build I was planning. I got started today, but need to finish the one I'm working on. I had several different ideas and put them together for future reference. I'm starting to run out of models. Feel free to make suggestion on your pick of the litter. I'm thinking that taking the wing tip tanks off the bottom one and that looks fast. Still real early though.... The first picture are the two planes that volunteered for the mission. ;)

Love the bottom one Eddie kinda like the twin engined Lancer  :D

Hmmm...I am partial to the twin tail...cool stuff!

Eddie that twin tail beast looks slightly Gerry Anderson (but I do like it) whereas the single fin job really does look as though it could be a Lancer deveolpment as Geoff says - so single fin for me.

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

I'd take the twin tail jobby and make a one piece T-tail by adding some plasticard between the rudders

EXACTLY what I was thinking.... It would look 'real' if you know what I mean.

But then, it's your project, go nutz !

Ohh yeah, the bottom one.... maybe bigger stabs, but other than that.... Coooool

I agree, the single fin one works for me Eddie. You sir, have some seriously cool lskills and thought processes.

I prefer the hybrid with the Phantom tail... And why not a T-Tail with this Phantom tail??? ;)

Since there were varied opinions about the look of the A/C, I decided to try them all, at least once for the camera. I will probably go with the bottom one,or at least start out with that. ;) Thanks to everyone for their input.( I changed the rear horziontal stabs because of it.) To me ,it has an X-15 feel to it, or the paint fumes are too strong in here.

The T tail configuration works for me!!!

Looks fast just sitting there.  :P

For a first shot, the bottom one looks excellent.  For your second effort, do the one depicted in the middle two pics, it has a delightful "Gerry Anderson" feel to it, though I might go with a straight, rather than swept, horizontal.

Hey, that's MY line!!   :D

Eddie, I have to be honest with you:
While my favorite is the one below, I seriously believe you should just go out and buy enough kits (any scales) to make them ALL!!!

The way things are going,I may have to go out and get enough to do them all.
JHM and Sisko, The T tail part you like is a 1:32 F-4 horizontal stab chopped down. Ya'll may be able to change my mind yet on which one to do. ^_^

It's funny that you do this cause I've been looking at taking a 104 and trying to sort out what to do to make it carrier caipable. I was adding larger wings (f-15 or 18)with no anihedrial, a large shoulder joint to house more fuel, perhaps a Tornado back end and so on.

looking very cool Eddy, all of them. My favorite is the twin T tail from the first set of pictures but I would add a straight horizontal piece in between the vertical fins. I think (but that is my personal opinion) that the horizontal stabs in your second series are to small to make it look good.

I've been playing around with a F 104 conversion also. what about a delta winged one. not sure how it would turn out yet but definately something I'll be looking into.
