This one was my awakening to the possiblities of hybrids. I hadn't had this much fun building models in a long time. Pure imagination running amok. ;)

And the problem with that is... ?  ^_^

Nice work as usual, but if you really want to get the JMNs in a lather do it in Jolly Rogers markings.  :o    :dum:  :ar:

I remember all the post on Finescale just to find the name of your plane!

I really love it !! I think one day, I'll build one myself, with an operational scheme ;)

Oh yes! just  question: why is the canopy in gold ?? Was it to old or destroy to be transparent?? Or is it a new type of canopy you imagine, like a canopy anti-radiation??

Sometimes I just don't feel like dealing with detailing a cockpit. I prefer to expend my energies on the bird itself. I do use gold because of the canopy tinting on many aircraft, specifically the Falcon and Prowler. This is a pic of the missiles to show how I modified the Sidewinders to the AIM-X and one when she was slick.

Gold is extrememly malleable and can be hammered so thin that you can see through it.  As has been mentioned, aircraft like the F-16 have a gold tinted canopy.  I've seen some claim its to do with stealth, but then my old man says the lightning used to have gold sheeting between the 2 layers of perspex in the canopy and it was used to heat the canopy to prevent ice & mist forming.  So, take your pick  ;)
