it's been one of those quiet weeks here at work so I cracked open a couple of kits & endeavoured to stick them together while I should be doing some work...  ;)

so, take 2 Revell 1/72 Fuchs & make the propsosed 8x8 version

Captain Canada

Looking good, Mikey ! 72nd sale armour rules....I love that stuff !

But what did you say when the boss found you fondling plastic instead of working ?

" Oh Fuch ! "

Hard to believe it's only 1:72 scale.  Looks like a 1:35 subject it's so good.
What's the final paint scheme going to be?
Styrene in my blood and an impressive void in my cranium.

Speaking of extended wheeled vehicles, has anyone seen a picture of the 10 wheel version of the LAV that is used by Sweden?

I might finish it as an ambulance in standard German green/brown/black camo, one of those WIs that just looks perfectly normal...

Jeffry, those 10x10 Piranhas are enormous!

Jeffry, looks like they have the command & radar version, used by the Swedish Navy Coastal Artillery

a great little book on the whole LAV/Piranha series was out a couple of months ago, published by Tankograd in Germany (unfortunately they don't have a website) lots of colour pics and dual Ger/Eng text

Wouldn't an 8x8 Fox/Fuchs just be a Luchs?  Like so:

That 10X10 is incredible.
I thought the 8X8 was outlandish but the 10X10 is completely over the top (i.e. looks like something nutty that *I* would design!).

or Neal Stephenson's novel 'Snow Crash' ; one of the characters uses a converted firetruck (the really big ones they use at airports)
