Leigh,
Thanks for the kind words about my pictures. I have a few things I want to add to my airfield pictures but finding time to build and paint them is very difficult right now, even just building a simple airplane model is not easy because of lack of time to do the job to the best of my ability.

That is an Airfix 1/72 scale control tower in the background of that first pic of the Focke-Wulf, I always use larger scale models near the camera and small scale models in the background.

Here is another model that I like, the Amtech Ta 183.

Sisko,
Thanks so much for letting me look at your Luft'46 builds!

Great job you did on those models, thats the first time I have seen a Planet Models BV 211 built, I have always wanted to try and build one of those but have read where the landing gear is too weak to support the weight of the model and over time the gear legs start to bend so I have not been very eager to buy one of those Planet Models kits.

Maybe the earlier planet kits had problems with the landing gear but the couple that I have built have been fine.

The big problem I found is that the earlier kits had some fit problems. If you go to the articles section of the website I have an article on a Planet kit build and it details some of the fit issues that I discovered.

I should catalouge my outstanding list of Luft46 kits

Sisko,

some very nice L46 stuff - have bookmarked this page.

For U/c I always use metal ones from Aeroclub. I just find somthing close to what's in the kit and use that - after it's L46 and who's to say it wouldn't be changed a little by the time it hits prduction at least the u/c stays straight.

If I want to detail a cockpit and the kit one is lousy I often use a resin Me 163 or 262 one from Aires etc as a replacement.
