Yeah, I'm with you on that.  I glance at the pic pretty much every time I check the forum and it still elicits a "That is so F(*&ing COOL!" every single time.

QuoteI think I just had a Whifgasm.

And I think you've just added to the slang of this site.  To Baz-tastic, JMN and The Thing I'm Not Allowed To Say, goes "whifgasm"

Oh, and Eddie, that thing is AMAZING!!!!!!  It looks awesome!!!1  Really menacing, and I like the look of the Frenchie roundels too

You guys are starting to make me think I've got a good one here. I might have to start doing some of the refinement this weekend. Definately have to clean up those intakes. Probably get rid of the splitters and join them to the body. Plus, a major part is going to come up with the weps load. I've got lots of iron bombs. B)

It's got some extremely serious potential, but I'd do my own splitter plates, not get rid of them entirely unless you're positing some very engines that can take a lot of inlet distortion.  I'd use some thin plastic card and make new ones that matched the contours of the surface they're over, then fair the inlets into them.

Just my $0.02.

BTW, your son should be scared, he shares my first name.

Not only have you contributed to the slang, but you've just made the understatement of the year!

We're on pins and needles here Eddie, keep those pics coming!

I'm taking your advice. I chopped the splitters off of the intake and inverted them. Once I clean them up, they'll look better. Thanks for the input. B) Now let me ask you this. You saw my canards. Should I leave them as is or try to sweep them a bit. By the way, those canards are the elevon from my F-104. Nothing goes to waste here at Hybrids"R"Us. ;)

P.S. Does this sound familiar? EEEVVVAAANNNNN!! Stop that now!

I'd leave them as is, though I might lower them a bit on the fuselage so that the vortecies coming off them help to direct air in the inlets, esp. the back ones, at high angles of attack.

And, yeah, that sounds rather familiar from when I was a kid (many and many a year ago).  I was the first born and they didn't know what to expect all the time; from what I've been told, I should both mechanical aptitude and stubborn-ness at an early age.

A bit more refinement to the intakes.

Evan,
Thanks for the advice on the intakes. They look a whole lot better now.

JHM,
Your goal is very gracious to me, but I also feel that everyone here, that I've seen of their work, has abilities that I would dearly love to have. If I could cast my own parts, I'd be dangerous. The airbrush work here is great. One day,I'll pick up mine. Plus, none of my builds has been completed without outside influence of those that follow it to rollout. You folks are the ones I'm learning from. This site has been a blast for me and I appreciate ya'lls interest in my work. From all of us at House of Hybris"R"Us, we thank you! B)

Those intakes look great. And I think you audience would agree with me! :P

One more to add. I've got two or three variation that I can use for the pointy end.
This is one of them. ^_^

Eddie, are you going to do a cockpit for this one (would add to the realism, buddy!).
