Well fellas, I managed to finish my little parasite fighter before heading out of town tonight.  It still needs a coat of dullcote to finish it off, but that will have to wait a few weeks.

I usually try to make up a pretty detailed backstory, but time does not allow this time, you guys can fill in the blanks.

..................................

USAAF DeHavilland P-77A Vampire Bat "Foo Fighter"-England, 1947
So I got that going for me...which is nice....

and one more.  This one shows the underfuselage rocket pack that is fired after seperation to boost the fighter high and fast before diving on the enemy.  Once the rockets are exhausted the pack jettisons and the fighter continues on jet power.

I am foo of your Foo Fighter... (in French, foo - written 'fou' - means crazy, or 'crazy in love')

[As you told us a gun was replacing the landing gear, I wondered how you would make her standing and the answer is: 'not standing: flying!" Great! :) ]

Don't laugh: on this little twin-boom fighter, Swiss roundels and arrester hook for carrier operation on the Leman Lake is actually serious, don't you remember that the Swiss team beated USA in the America Sail Cup? :)

Thanks for the comments guys.  Between this little dealie and the One Week Build, I've been modeling pretty furiously for the past 8 days.  Now I'm stuck in a hotel room in Miami for God-knows-how-long I feel lost. :(
