what if the US Army needs an infantry fighting vehicle to compete with the new Soviet BMP ASAP?

they borrow West Germany's design...

of course, they found the German turret design unsuitable and substitued one designed by FMC, who produced the modified vehicle under license, other mods included a new Cummins diesel engine

Cool. Didn't the US test something like the Marder? The turret looks right on that chassie

Looking good Mike!

I like your combination and it certainly does look "right" in comparison to some of the other ideas that were offered up to the Army, this would have been a good vehicle design.

Beautiful armor!     Do you have a spare Blazer AA turret?  That gatling gun rig would definitely stand out!

I would guess they are the Revell 1/72 versions going by the tint of the plastic.

Looking good BTW.

Didn't Kuwait or Oman buy the Warrior hull fitted with the bradley turret ?

So that mean your fitting the milan from the Marder onto a Dingo or Fennec then  Mike ?

I originally was going to use the Bradley hull with an ACE LAV-AD turret, then that fell by the wayside as I got started on this one... only problem is I used a few parts off the Bradley hull for the Marder, so I may need another kit for the stowage, tools etc

yeah, they're the Revell 1/72 kits, but they only do the later Marder A3, so I've had to backdate it a bit for a more 1970s feel

Kuwait have Desert Warriors with the smaller turret off the LAV-25 with TOW launchers either side of the turret, the Milan might go on a real British Warrior. Although you can put it on a FV432 or Spartan 'cause BAOR ones had them fitted from German stocks in the 80s apparently  ;)
