Her's my layout phase for a twin TBF Avenger.  This is intended to be a longrange torpedo bomber.  I like this layout so far.

Of course, there is always the RN 'Gunbucket' escort TB, powered by the mighty Centaurus. Sadly, all that remains is this one pic, as the boy got to it, and all the other pics of her are gone !

Could you tell us what will you do with tailplanes? Separated like on He111Z? Or are the fuselages too close and you will have to join tailplanes somehow?
Anyway, I keep your creation as a great useful lesson: to zwill aircraft kits, the best candidates are the ones having wings at 90° from the fuselage, at least at the beginning, no matter what happen externally (truncated after joining). Thanks...

Could you tell us what will you do with tailplanes?

I'm planning on joining them together like the F-82 and Lightning.  This is fun and very different for me.

We need simply a Catamaran (twin-hull carrier) with very wide runway and much room for waiting planes, and much stability on rough seas. It is not insane, it could have been... maybe  
Remember the Tigercat (then Hawkeye, Viking...), were on carriers, seriously, no? :dum:

Well... I got the fuselages assembled, the center wing section and the horizontal stabilizer finished, I must say I'm pleased with the results.

It's the same width as the original, but straight across, the stabilizers are pretty large on the standard TBF, so I guessed it would have to be that large to have a similar surface area..sounds good

I'd like to be that good...  Could you tell us how you made a so perfect central section? The dark grey line shows it was not easy, you had to invent a new trailing edge, and putty does not allows that, as far as I know... How did you do it? I would be so happy to use your recipe...

Well....how about a rough diagram?  I drew this up to give you a basic idea of the construction techniques.  If you have any specific questions feel free to post them and I'll be glad to answer them.  I hope this helps B)
