Here is the proof that my final C.7144 was actually a twin-plane rather-neat model (from the side view on the final entries topic, one may doubt...) ;) I lack the skills of most modellers here, but for a very first try in doubling, I am happy...

Now, two Replica XP-77 models are on my workbench, for the C.7144 not to feel alone... :(  :)

I invite all and any criticism, except about Eric The Dog, it's not his fault he's stupid

Here is the double XP-77 taking shape (truncated wings to link, thinned front-fuselage to improve on port).

I had a hard time finding a name... If the tiny light-fighter had been the Bell XP-76 (instead of an Airacobra), my double would have been XP-77, but as the single was already a double figure, I did not know... Well, as there will-be a connecting wing between fuselages, this could be XP-7-7 or 7o7 or 7²7, but this sounds Boeing... My final choice is XP-7117... prototype for the P-7117A, mass-produced with zero ugly nose-scoop...
Alas, this is not matching well the C.7144 code for the fellow model... Well, let us change the story for this one: the source was C.714, the 'mass-produced' all-thinned double would be C.7144, and my prototype, half-thinned, was the XC-7114...
So XC-7114 and XP-7117 can marry and have many twin-children...

The smoothing part is done for the XP-7117... but a lot of work remains till finishing the twin-plane...

Elements of the new XP-7117 couple are now... JOINED, by love and Super-Glue. May they live happy ever after, amen...
