That has got to be the best looking BUFF I've ever seen. Brilliant job Martin. Is she going to be at Yate next week?

Brilliant Martin - she does look better in the anti-flash white

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Martin,

That's just so.. wrong!  A BUFF in RAF "anti-flash" white?  Say what??!!!

Excellent work.  Very nicely done - and the refueling boom is a nice touch that furthers the distinctness.

Veeeery interesting...

I guess that would be painted Buff White, then?  :D

Nice work!  B)

In want of hobby space!  The kitchen table is never stable.  Still managing to get some building done.

That is very cool! B) Another one of my favorite aircraft done right. :)

Gorgeous one, Martin.

BTW, Joe, would that be a Convair "Texas" or a Convair "Ft. Worth"?   The first if they followed the 'precedent" of teh "Washington" but the second if they followed the "City name" approach.

*Laughs* Works for me.   I'd love to see the "Aluminum Overcast" in RAF markings, no matter what name she was given.

Wasn't the B-36 the "Magnesium Overcast"? ;)

That BUFF looks great Martin. I was thinking about doing something similar with an old Revell/Crown 1/144 kit, but decided to trade it off instead.

I couldn't decide the best way to re-engine her (as a British variant certainly would have been) and how to depict ECM gear near the tail as British post war bombers were devoid of tail guns.

  absolutely suberb Martin!

good idea to leave the wings seperate too, might have to try one in 1/144 now... or maybe Dragon Wings will do a little 1/400 diecast one in the future that I can re-paint  ;)

great Job Martin, it looks splendid in the white colors.

I thought of "Houston" for the B-47, on the basis of named after a city named after a general. Got any others?

Hadn't realised it was the city's name.
"Wichita" for the B-47 since most of them we built there?

Isn't Wichita a pilots code word for something?  Can't remember what though...y'know like Bingo, Tally Ho, Feet Wet, Winchester etc
