Here's a 1/72 Matchbox F-4K, done up for the French Navy.

I figure the French would have modified the plane similar to their F-8P's in order to keep them flying as long as possible.  This example is shown modernized for service into the 90's with a new low-vis paint scheme similar to the latest ones on the Super Etenards, and is armed with four Magic and four Moineau missiles.  It flew off the Verdun class ships, and was stationed for a time on board the Charles De Gaulle before being fully replaced by F/A-18P's in the fleet defense role.

Lovely!!! A pure marvel...
King Arthur: Can we come up and have a look?
French Soldier: Of course not. You're English types.
King Arthur: What are you then?
French Soldier: I'm French. Why do you think I have this outrageous accent, you silly king?

Well regardless I would rather take my chance out there on the ocean, that to stay here and die on this poo-hole island spending the rest of my life talking to a gosh darn VOLLEYBALL.

Nigel Bunker

Excellent. Why not do another in that blue grey/white scheme used on Super Etendards?

where are french weapons????exocet!!!!exocet!!!!I can send you one or two!!!! :)

anthonyp

Heh, no need.  I decided I wanted to do a fleet defense fighter, and mounted Magic 2's on it.  I had no idea what to put in the missile wells that was French and not a MICA.  Besides, I already did an Exocet armed F-4 for Argentina
