Thanks again, guys.  I had to go back and look at the panels and it does look like some numbers are readable ... gotta give Hasegawa the credit on the mouldings!
Well, here's a few more pics of recent grunt work ... parts cleaning and some minor subassemblies.

Here's the buddy store for my FG.1 ... still needs a bit of sanding around the hose reel bulges.  My FG.1 as planned now will have 2 wing tanks and centerline buddy store.  Also, the plan is to do it in the extra dark sea gray over sky scheme ... I know, should be over white but, I've always liked the 'over sky' scheme.

And here's the IR guided GBU's that are going on my NG.7 nite attack project.  I'm still shaping the front fins a bit but the seeker area is set.

Hi guys ... not much to report ... came down with a nasty case of pneumonia and am still trying to recover.  Finished the antibiotics about a week ago but my lungs are still giving me some problems as well as still being very weak.  So all the Skyhawks are still lined up for some airbrush work as soon as I'm up to it.
I have been able to do some clean up of parts.  Probably the most time consuming has been cleaning up all the sway braces for the pylons ...  very tedious and time consuming but a good use of 'quiet time'.
I did have some time to think about what to do with another A-4C though ... it will be a  JASDF RA-4C with a belly recon gondola made from the dorsal hump from the kit with some clear windows fitted.  Not sure of a paint scheme yet.  Kit is at the same stage as the others ... cockpit is finished and waiting for the intakes to be sprayed (with the others) ... just hadn't mentioned it before as I wasn't sure what I was going to do with it.
Thanks for interest.  Hopefully I'll kick this stuff soon and get back to it.

regards,
Gary

Hope you feel better soon Gary.

I like the idea of the JASDF A-4 too...cant wait to see it!

Nick

So I got that going for me...which is nice....

Ollie

Yeah, get better, eh!

;)

Thanks for the thoughts, guys.  Nothing too big, but here's a couple pics of recent quiet work ... cleaning up all the sway braces for the pylons ... 2 per pylon and 5 pylons per kit with 8 kits in work ... 80 braces with 66 done so far.  There's a mold line visible side to side and around the part ... takes about 10-15 minutes to clean up depending how fumble fingered I am at any moment, and how many times I drop and have to find it in the carpet .... haven't lost one yet!  They are about 5mm across, if you're not familiar with the Has Skyhawk kit.
 Here's the before ...

Gary F

and here's a shot of most of the completed ones ... 40 are visible here.  After this portion of work, can't see anything else on these kits being any kind of work!

Gary F

oops, wrong button.  Here's the pic

Quote.... haven't lost one yet!
oh, way to go ! That's what we call 'calling in the black chicken' and you're gonna be losing parts now ! You must recant !
