Simply beautiful... I remember a 2000 looking like that in Le Bourget 1979, they would have been great together: 2000+4000 both blue-ish 2-tone, and this is possible even now! (for us modellers and graphists).

Thank you Tophe ;)

For the Aussie Mirage, I think that the 75 squadron is a good choice. I went to www.scamble.nl looking for an Australian Air Base in Northern Territory (for the back story ;) ) and on the 2 bases I saw (Darwin and Tindal), Tindal is the only one with a Hornet squadron, the 75th...
Moreover, I very enjoy the 75 squadron markings, and there is a lot of possibilities...

So, maybe a finished Aussie Mirage 4000 for this evening ;)

Hello,

Here is a profile I made a few months ago for the French Magazine Le Fana de l'Aviation (unfortunately it was not published, that's why some details of the profile are not finalized). But I think it gives a good idea of how a Saudi Mirage 4000 could have been...

I made the drawing in Adobe Illustrator, and took inspiration from pictures of Saudi Tornados for the markings and scheme.

Let me know if you are interested by a "What if" model, I can give you the markings for customized decals.

Regards
Alain

Quote:wub: sexy!
Considering just how UGLY some of those pre-war French types were (That Amiot bomber that looks like it came from Dick Dasterdlys' design shop immediately springs t'mind).... Just think of how beautiful every machine from the Dassault team has looked since the Ouragan and the 4000 is no exception IMHO.

Hi !

Very good drawings indeed !!!!

But I was wondering when could we see a 3 dimension 1/72 or 1/48 of such a colourful Mirage 4000 ?

Anyway, I love your profiles PolluxDeltaSeven, ils sont vraiment très bons !!!  ;)

Hey!! That is the meeting of French guys!!

Alain, I really love your Mirage 4000 !!
For my part, I make my own drawing with Photoshop and the Saudi Tornado was also a great source of inspiration for me.

Oh, and check your MP ;) I have a few question for you but in French is more easy to me

Thank you Richard!! Very much!
Cool to see you here again!! Is your Mirage 2016 finish??

Oh, and next week, I'll post a Canadian Mirage 4000 and (maybe) a Mirage 4000 N.
I used for them more new technics that "Gekko1" introduced me, with more finalised weathering and the entire cokpit and canopy.
I hope you'll like them!!  ;)

Hey   :D ... The mass-procuced Etendard IVM was not beautiful  :( but let you remember the Etendard II and VI prototypes were beauties  , even more sexy than Mirages 2000/4000 (according to me, while I respect other opinions) see my post in 2004 at http://www.whatifmodelers.com/forum//index...&t=3436&p=41129 and just after for the VI, from a wonderful Docavia book, Larivière publisher (the same as Alain's Fana de l'Aviation)
