Then you have the Super Fox, A-4Fs that were re-engined with the J52-P-408,
thrust went from 9,300 lbs from the J52-P-8B to 11,200 lbs. The intakes were again
enlarged. The A-4M also had the more powerful engine and enlarged inlets.

Did they EVER build two of them the same?  :o
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

The aircraft of a given dash number were mostly the same, but as the roles,
and customers, expanded and equipment was changed/added it inevitably
led to airframe changes.

The series aircraft were as follows:
A4D-1 = A-4A
A4D-2 = A-4B
A4D-2N = A-4C
A4D-5 = A-4E
A-4F = based on A-4E, engine changed to J52 along with airframe and equipment mods/upgrades
A-4G = based on A-4F, RAN
A-4H = based on A-4E, IDF
A-4K = based on A-4F, RNZAF
A-4KU = based on A-4M, Kuwait
A-4L = upgraded A-4C, USN Naval Air Reserve
A-4M = based on A-4F, Skyhawk II, same J52-P-408 engine as A-4F Super Fox, USMC
A-4N = based on A-4M, IDF
A-4PTM = reworked surplus A-4L, Malaysia

OA-4M = TA-4F reworked for Fast FAC role, USMC

TA-4F = USN/USMC, A-4E based and originally designated TA-4E
TA-4G = RAN
TA-4H = IDF
TA-4J = USN/USMC, TA-4F with weapons systems removed used for carrier pilot training
TA-4K = RNZAF
TA-4KU = Kuwait

Simples.  ;)

The A-4E was actually the first one with the J52. The A-4F had a more powerful version.

Singapore also had the A-4S (A-4B) which they rebuilt into the A-4SU with a non-afterburning General Electric F-404 engine.

Didn't Singapore have the odd two seater with the second cockpit with it's own canopy?   :-\

Yeap that was them.
I always hope for the best.
Unfortunately,
experience has taught me to expect the worst.

Found a used copy of Air Combat Vol 1, #1, 1973.  News section mentions Skyhawks twice.

Negotiations with "the Marxist administration of Chile" for 12 A-4Bs.

Negotiations with Thailand for about 30 A-4Bs, some to be refurbished in US and some kits for mods sent to Thailand, and then Thai personnel to be trained at Tulsa.
